Vanessa is the Medicaid Social Worker at Koukol Johnson Schmit & Milone, LLC. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with her Bachelor of Social Work in 2009. She has 12 years of experience as a nursing home social worker where she became known as a strong resident advocate. Her practice has been primarily serving the aging adult population via nursing home transitions, Medicaid assistance, care planning and service brokering. She went on to further her education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she earned her Master of Social Work in 2020. Vanessa is a momma to 2 daughters and 1 hairless cat. When she is not working or spending time with family, she enjoys yoga, dancing, nature walks, and podcasting.
