Wendy Wussow

SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Wendy A. Wussow is a senior associate attorney at Koukol, Johnson, Schmit & Milone, LLC.  Wendy’s practice areas have evolved out of years of government service.  Wendy has practiced as a prosecutor specializing in the areas of juvenile law and prosecution of child abuse including child sexual abuse, which included appellate work on juvenile cases.  After prosecuting in three different states, she served as agency legal counsel for the Nebraska State Patrol handling employment matters and providing legal advice to the leading law enforcement authority in Nebraska.  Most recently Wendy has served as the Clerk of the Nebraska Court of Appeals and Nebraska Supreme Court.  Now having left government employment to join KJSM, Wendy’s primary focus will be appellate work and employment law.  She can also assist in other civil litigation matters with an eye towards creating a proper record so that in the event an appeal should become necessary, the client’s position is properly preserved for an appeal.

Wendy attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  She then attended Washburn University School of Law, graduating with Dean’s Honors in 1994.  Wendy has extensive experience in the courtroom and government practice, and her primary focus is appellate litigation and employment law.  Wendy is a Nebraska State Bar Association member and has presented numerous seminars on appellate practice and government practice.  She has published articles on practicing in the Appellate Courts in The Nebraska Lawyer Magazine and has served as a chair of the Government Practice Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
